Rental Property Shower Options

Depending on the type of rental properties you manage you will have different shower door needs. For leading property management companies like Foothills Properties in Tucson AZ knowing what type of shower to use in each dwelling can be a big advantage in cost analysis. Many condos and small single-family homes will do just fine with a pair of sliding bypass doors with aluminum framing. These showers can use ¼ glass and often fit in the standard shower and bath openings that builders use. If a swing door is requested then a door and panel are available in standard sizes as well. For more custom homes that have elegant or very decorative bathtubs and showers, customers will most likely need heavy frameless shower door glass. This thicker and stronger safety glass can be installed in the channel to keep it secure and add a nice clean line. Some customers prefer glass clamps to minimize any metal used in the shower.

Best Showers for Rental Properties

The best shower for a rental property doesn’t mean the best shower altogether. Rental property tenants will have different needs and expectations depending on their property. We install all types of different showers from single frameless panels that have a nice open walk-in to steam showers that go all the way to the ceiling with frameless glass. There are also sliding frameless showers sometimes called barn door style showers. These are very sought after in nice custom homes. Depending on the showerhead angle you might be able to get away with just a frameless shower panel or splash guard. If you are in an emergency situation and need a quick shower in many cases we can use a standard size for quicker ordering.

Frameless Barn Door Showers

There are many brands of frameless barn door shower doors available. Most of them have a few similar categories. A round header with round rollers or a square header with square rollers for customers who want a more modern look. Sliding shower doors come in different glass thicknesses. For smaller and more cost-effective options there are framed sliders that function well and still look great.  For the least amount of metal possible frameless sliders can use just a header that the rollers slide on and a through the glass handle or towel bar. There are many types of handles and hardware available. Feel free to check out our website shower door section for many example pictures of showers we’ve installed for property managers and rental companies in Scottsdale, Glendale, Peoria and Phoenix.

Cost of frameless shower doors in Arizona

Shower doors pricing can vary a lot depending on whether you’re using standard duty or heavy-duty hinges and clamps. For heavy glass doors, we always use heavy-duty hinges and hardware. Pricing can also vary depending on the thickness and the type of glass. Entry-level sliders can have glass as thin as 3/16 to a ¼ while the frameless heavy sliders will have 3/8 tempered glass. The tints of the glass or whether you’re using a pattern glass will have a large effect on price. Most showers use regular clear glass. There are other options such as rain and satin etch privacy decorative glass as well as Starphire Ultra-clear glass.
